Public/Private Roles

Based on the results of a Request For Proposals (RFP) process conducted by the RDA in July 2013, a development team led by Pennoni Associates, Inc. was selected to lead a station redevelopment project. Planned improvements include elevated platforms and a pedestrian overpass that spans the rail lines allowing passengers easy access to both the eastbound and westbound platforms.  The new station will be located one block east of the current station building. PennDOT has committed more than $20 million to the project.
